GREENHOUSE EFFECT AND ACID RAIN

GREENHOUSE EFFECT:

The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon through which Earth preservis its heat. It is caused by water vapor and certain other atmospheric gasos called greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, CFC, and Nitric s'oxidi, keep part of the heat emitted by Earth from escaping into space. When these gasos increase in concentration they direct more infrared rays toward the ground and Amplify the warming of the planet.

Because of certain human activities, increasing quantities of greenhouse gases are being emitted into the atmosphere. Motor vehicles and factories that burn fossil fuels emit carbó dioxide.

The natural greenhouse effect is essential to life on Earth, because it heats the lower atmosphere to an average of 15 degrees Celsius. But when it increases, it can have serious effects on the climate, així climate change.

ACID RAIN:

We mean acid rain when the humidity of the air combines with nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide or sulfur trioxide emitted by factories, power plants, heating boilers and vehicles that burn coal or petroleum products that contain.

The Acid rain is one of the results related to environmental pollution, specifically with air pollution that denotes changes in the environment such as water in clouds, water in oceans or rivers... It is formed when moisture in the air combines with nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide, power plants, and coal or  oil. In interaction with water vapor, these gases form sulfuric acid and nitric acids. Finally, these chemical substances fall to the earth accompanying the precipitations, constituting the acid rain.
